AELMHU represented by its executive director, Marian Corral, has participated in the I Gene Therapy Forum organized in Madrid by CSL Benring.
During the conference, the main topics related to hemophilia were addressed : main unmet needs, the vision of specialists (hematologists, patients, psychologists, nurses and pharmacists) and clinical research.
On this occasion, the association has been present in the last panel of the day where the topics of access to funding for advanced therapies have been addressed : possible funding models, realities and challenges in access and care models. Together with Marian, José Martínez Olmos, José Luis Poveda and Dr. Víctor Jimenez Yuste participated.
The director's speech focused on explaining the main data of the AELMHU's Annual Report on access to Orphan Drugs and sharing and discussing the main challenges affecting the financing of these advanced therapies, including those related to regulation and standards, management, planning, technological resources and training for healthcare professionals.
