FINANCING
AELMHU
At AELMHU, committed to transparency in our organisation, we have created this section to explain how we finance ourselves and our use of resources throughout the year.
Our accounts are presented and approved by the members every year, at the first assembly of each financial year.
2025
How do we finance ourselves?
Throughout fiscal year 2026, AELMHU has funded its operations exclusively through the annual dues paid by its member companies, which have been the organization’s sole source of revenue.
In this regard, all financial resources obtained by the association during the fiscal year are of a private nature, as they derive solely from contributions made by its members in fulfillment of their obligations as member entities.
Furthermore, during fiscal year 2025, the association did not receive any grants, subsidies, or financial contributions from public administrations, government agencies, private entities, sponsors, donors, or any other source of funding outside the association itself.
Revenue from membership dues has made it possible to cover all expenses necessary for the organization’s operations, including personnel costs, general administrative expenses, and the implementation of the activities, initiatives, and projects outlined in the Action Plan for fiscal year 2025.
For all these reasons, it is hereby declared that the activities carried out by AELMHU during fiscal year 2025 were financed entirely with its own private funds, without resorting to public funding or other sources of external financing.

2024
How do we finance ourselves?
During fiscal year 2024, AELMHU fully funded its operations through revenue derived from the regular dues paid by its member organizations. Consequently, 100% of the financial resources received by the association during that fiscal year came from private funding, as they originated exclusively from the annual contributions made by its members.
In this regard, it is hereby stated that, during the 2024 fiscal year, the association did not receive any grants, subsidies, or financial contributions from public administrations, public agencies, private entities outside the association, individuals, sponsorships, donations, or any other source of external funding.
Membership dues from member organizations have been the association’s sole source of funding, enabling it to cover all expenses necessary for carrying out its ordinary activities and fulfilling its statutory purposes. In particular, these funds have been used to finance the association’s operating expenses, including personnel costs, as well as the planning, implementation, and monitoring of the initiatives and projects outlined in the corresponding Annual Action Plan.
Consequently, during fiscal year 2024, AELMHU conducted its operations exclusively using its own private funds, derived from membership dues paid by its member companies, without resorting to public funding or other external sources of financing.

2023
How do we finance ourselves?
During the entire fiscal year 2023, AELMHU's income was derived exclusively from the payment of its member companies' membership fees. This means that all of the funds received by the association are of private origin, since these contributions come solely from its members, who pay their dues on an annual basis.
It should be noted that AELMHU has not received, at any time this year, funding from other sources, such as public subsidies granted by governmental administrations or financial contributions from private donors outside the associates. Nor has it received any type of additional or external financial aid.
The financing structure of the association is supported entirely by annual membership dues. These funds are essential and are used to cover all aspects of AELMHU's operational functioning, including the payment of staff and the implementation of the projects outlined in the annual action plan.
Therefore, we affirm that, throughout this year, the Association has depended exclusively on its internal resources from its associates.

2022
How do we finance ourselves?
Throughout the year 2022, all the economic contributions received by the Spanish Association of Orphan and Ultra-Orphan Drug Laboratories (AELMHU) have been exclusively of private origin. These contributions have been the result solely of the payment of the annual fees of our associate members. It is important to emphasize that the association has not received any type of private donation beyond these dues. Neither has it received public subsidies from any administration, nor has it received external aid of any other nature.
This scenario has meant that all the contributions we have received have been fully and directly channeled towards the financing of the Association's basic operations. These operations include sustaining our infrastructure and paying the staff working at AELMHU, as well as the development of the various projects and initiatives that we carry out to fulfill our mission.
AELMHU wishes to state for the record that, during this fiscal year, it has not obtained any type of subsidy from public bodies, nor has it received any other form of financial aid or support from private entities, beyond the contributions of its associates.
