Beatriz Perales, member of the board of directors of AELMHU, represented the association at the first Congress on Pharmaceutical Law organized by the Madrid Bar Association ( ICAM).
The Congress was inaugurated by Pilar Aparicio Azcárraga, Director General of Public Health of the Ministry of Health, and included several panels to address issues such as the review of regulations in the framework of the European Pharmaceutical Strategy, public procurement, challenges and uncertainties in technology transfer and the impact of digitalization on pharmacies.
Beatriz was part of one of the panels on the second day to talk about patients' rights and difficulties in accessing orphan drugs. The panel also included Xosé Manuel Rey, lawyer of the Spanish Society of Hospital Pharmacy (SEFH); Daniel de Vicente, Pharmacist and President of the Acid Sphingomyelinase Deficiency Association (ASMD) and Álvaro Lavandeira, member of the Committee of the Pharmaceutical Law Section of ICAM.
