CGCOF and Aelmhu Meeting

AELMHU and the Consejo General de Colegios Farmacéuticos (General Council of Pharmaceutical Associations)

The Spanish Association of Orphan and Ultra-Orphan Drug Laboratories (AELMHU) has held a meeting with the General Council of Official Pharmaceutical Associations (CGCOF), with the aim of strengthening collaboration between the two entities and addressing key issues related to orphan drugs and their impact on the National Health System (NHS).

AELMHU was represented by Beatriz Perales, President of the Association, María José Sánchez, Vice-President, and Marian Corral, Director. Thus, they have been able to share their experience and knowledge about the challenges faced by orphan drugs, as well as the opportunities to improve access to treatments for rare diseases.

Representing the CGCOF were Jesús Aguilar, President of the Council, Rita de la Plaza, its Treasurer, and Raquel Pérez, Director of the President's Office. All shared the Council's perspective on the need to support and promote innovation in the field of orphan drugs, ensuring that patients have access to the treatments they need.

During the meeting, both parties expressed their commitment to continue working together to address the challenges and promote the well-being of patients with rare diseases.
