The Spanish Association of Orphan and Ultra-Herphan Drug Laboratories (AELMHU) has announced a new edition of its awards, through which it wishes to recognize the great work that clinical professionals, researchers, associations, companies, organizations and institutions carry out in the field of rare diseases, their dissemination and treatments for these pathologies.
To be eligible for each of the categories of the VI Edition of the AELMHU Awards, interested persons may submit their candidacy until June 30, 2024 through this LINK.
This year 5 categories have been established:
- Award for the Best Care Project on rare diseases. Endowed with an amount of 3,000 €.
- Award for the Best Professional Research Career in the field of rare diseases. Endowed with an amount of 3,000 €.
- Award for the Best Project of dissemination and / or awareness of rare diseases. Endowed with an amount of 3,000 €.
- Award for the Best Communication, dissemination and/or awareness-raising work on rare diseases. Endowed with an amount of 3,000 €.
- AELMHU 2024 Honorary Award for his work or contribution to improve the lives of people with rare diseases. Endowed with an amount of 3,000 €.
The jury of the awards will be formed by personalities of recognized prestige in the field of rare diseases and orphan drugs. It will choose a winner in each category except in the 5th category, in which the nominations will be proposed and voted by all AELMHU associates.
The economic endowments of the awards will go entirely to public health research entities or institutions or to rare disease patient associations.
The Jury's decision will be announced in September 2024 and the Awards Ceremony will take place in November.
