The association has published today its second report on access to Orphan Drugs in Spain , with the aim of updating the data of all those treatments that have orphan designation, marketing authorization, National Code and have been included in the National Health System as of August 31, 2022.
During the second four-month period of the year, there were 11 new products with orphan designation and trade name, 9 treatments have obtained marketing authorization, 6 orphan drugs have arrived in Spain and 4 have been included in the National Health System.
AELMHU only uses public data from the following sources for the preparation of the report: European Medicines Agency (EMA), the Community Register of Orphan Medicinal Products, the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products (AEMPS), and the Ministry of Health.
