AELMHU speaks at the 2nd Day of the 10th International Orphan Drug Congress

The Spanish Association of Orphan and Ultra Orphan Drug Laboratories has participated for the second consecutive day in the International Congress on Orphan Drugs and Rare Diseases.

On this occasion, the association was represented by Alberto Torres Falcón at the first panel of the day: "Treatment: current trends and particularities in orphan drug research" to talk about clinical trials in paediatrics in the framework of rare diseases.

Also participating in the same panel were César Hernández García, head of the Department of Medicines for Human Use at the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products, to talk about the repositioning of medicines, Javier García Castro from the Cellular Biotechnology Unit of the Carlos III Health Institute, whose intervention focused on the research and development of advanced therapies and, finally, Nuria Mir Melendo, medical director of Pfizer's rare diseases unit, to talk about innovations that change patients' lives.
